Continual Changes

Food for Thought. This verse jumped out at me this week. This is what God set out for the priests of Israel regarding their family. Always looking for the spiritual principle as it relates to the historical accounts in the OT, I am reminded that Jesus Christ is the Believers’ High Priest and as God’s children, there is a setting apart that should take place in our hearts and life that makes us “oddly different” from the unsaved.

Guilty of “whoredom” in my younger years, which in my opinion includes any sexual act outside of marriage (sleeping around, a boyfriend with benefits, just hanging out, situationship, engaged, shacking up) was rooted out of me over 26 years ago. I credit the power of God’s WORD working on my inward man to transform my heart attitude into one that desires to become more pleasing to God in my lifestyle choices.

Much has changed in my life since my younger days. Praise Be to God that he continues to transform my mind and heart. By continuing to read his word, pray without ceasing, and commit to a local church where I learn the principles of discipleship and growing spiritually in understanding and applying God’s Word to my life, I am adding to my faith the virtues God wants to build into me.

I am a LONG LONG WAY FROM BEING PERFECT; to the contrary, I am a sinner saved by grace, being humbled and transformed under God’s workmanship on a daily basis. It’s not easy trying to stay on the straight and narrow road, but I am 100% convinced that it is 1000% worth it!

Going through God’s sanctification process for the rest of my life on earth is a blessed gift unlike any other. I may not get all the crowns available to the Christian but I have no plans of standing before God naked or ashamed because I did nothing with or in sincere gratefulness, with his gift of salvation.

Continual change creates a deeper love for the things God loves.
